I used to play video games a lot. As I've gotten older, I've enjoyed the graphics and options available in the newer games, but my favourite will always be the first PC game I played.
It's called Jones. It's a "life" game, similar to The Sims. In true early 90's style, it's a simple game. You choose a character from one of the four options, get a job, get an education, pay your rent, and acquire possessions, and you do it all in one screen!
The buildings are around the perimeter of the screen, and in the middle is a large square where you get your notifications, and can see inside each building as you enter. At the bottom centre of the screen is a clock that counts down the time you are allowed each turn.
The fun is trying to fit everything you need to do into each turn....eat, work, go to school, etc. Just to keep it interesting, random things can happen at any time. You can buy lottery tickets and win the lottery, have unexpected expenses, or get robbed.
Anyhoo, the point of admitting that I liked Jones, and played it all the time is to tell you this: it's an incredibly addicting game, and I played it for hours.
No wait, that's not it!
I searched around on the internet and found the game! I thought I would never be able to play it again...that it was lost forever as technology has taken over. But no, it's here, and I found both the flash version and the downloadable one.
If you are looking for a good time waster, here's the link! The flash version is working fine for me right now. Have fun playing...and enjoy the extraordinary flashback to the 90's :)
