I'm very thankful for so many people in my life. I really have a great family, and some really good friends, so today's (late) Thankful Thursday will focus on two of those awesome people :
10 things I'm thankful for about my mom
1. That she taught me about God as I was growing up, both in action and with words.
2. That she always had our best interests at heart and stuck by her beliefs...for example, she took us out of public school and put in many hours and lots of energy to homeschool when she didn't agree with things that were being done at the school!
3. That she was very particular about who took care of us when we were young...which was great, because it usually ended up being Grandma Joan, which we LOVED!
4. That she made sure we did fun things growing up, even if we had to get creative. One summer, to take us to Disneyland, we drove in our van...every seat was filled, and it was packed to the brim with luggage, but we had so much fun!
5. That she's always been supportive of decisions I make, even if she doesn't agree with it right away (or at all). I am so thankful that she trusts me and supports me through it all.
6. That she is such an awesome supporter of any endeavour I embark upon...such as Little Lily Bamboo, or having kids :)
7. That she's tall. Seriously, I never worried about getting separated from her in a crowd growing up...I could see her no matter what!
8. That she enjoys spending time with her grandkids, and when she can't be with them, she's thinking of them and usually spoiling them with presents!
9. That she talks to me on the phone almost every day!
10. That she taught me how to be persistent. I love that trait in her, and I love that I got it too. She succeeds at almost everything she takes on because of this!
Lots of luggage? Don't worry, you can make it fit. Broken flooring, and hubby's working? Go buy the stuff and do it yourself! Need money to fund a project? Find a way to make it!

10 Things I'm thankful for about Addison:
1. Her determination. She is very competitive, but mostly with herself. It "could" be a bad thing, butI think that if she has the right places to exercise it, it will be very helpful in her life :)
2. Her helpfulness. Even when I can tell that she doesn't want to help with something I ask of her, she usually does it with very little complaining.
3. For how much she loves her sisters! Sure there are times when they frustrate her, but she seems so delighted when she's playing with Danica, Myka, or Tegan!
4. For her health. Whenever I hear about a child getting sick, I'm so thankful for each day that mine are healthy.
5. Her friendliness. She has never had a problem making friends, and never seems to get tired of being around people :)
6. Her patience. Even on 8 hour road trips to Grandma and Grandpa's house, she is incredibly patient!
7. Her obedience. Even from a young age, I have been able to tell her not to do something, and don't have to worry about her not doing it. It helps me be confident that she is safe because I know she's not running out on to the road, or playing with something she shouldn't be. Now, I realize that as she gets older, it could change on a whole different level, LOL, but I have been very thankful for it for sure!
8. Her blue eyes. At least one of the girls got my eye colour! LOL
9. That she's not afraid to try new things.
10. For each of the 2409 days that she has been our daughter. I am so thankful that God blessed us with Addison!

I love you Jade...this made my eyes leak and the one about the ice cream was so funny Dante and I just laughed and laughed because you and Tegan could be a comedy team.
