Thankful Thursday

Another fun filled, exciting week is almost over. Tomorrow is the day I'm looking forward to this week though....tomorrow I've been married to Captain Awesome for TEN whole years! We are cue rating by spending the day in Grande Prairie by ourselves...shopping for our house, eating Italian food and seeing the movie that we have been waiting for for a long time! Should be good :)

This week I am thankful:

1. That I had the privilege of standing by my little sister as she married her best friend. It was an exquisite, emotional day!

2. That my girls walked down the aisle as flower girls with minimal problems. They were adorable if I do say so myself!

3. That I have been able to talk to Jael not once, but TWICE this week! Love ya sis!!

4. That potty training seems to have taken a turn for the better here. It's only a matter of time until we are a diaper free house!

5. All of the amazing people that came together to help with Dakota's wedding. Mom, Bern, Gramma, Karry, Daniel...you all did so much and I know it meant the world to her! I know I missed some names...there were LOTS of people that helped!

6. Daniel's gentle spirit. Last night we had an unfortunate incident involving our dog and one of the kittens. Daniel found the soaking wet, beat up kitty and spent an hour drying it and getting it warm. Today, the little kitty is just as feisty as ever! The girls and I are so blessed to have him as the head of our family.

7. Sunshine, and the blow up pool full of cold water to enjoy it with!

8. My lawn mower. I have a lot of lawn to mow. A ride on may be an easier option, but at this point, I love my push mower. It's good exercise, I can work on my tab, and it drowns out all the noise around me and gives me time to think :)

9. Java chip frappe's with extra coffee! Sweet and refreshing!

10. That our older girls are having a great time making memories at Grandma and Grandpa's house! I miss them, but am so happy that they have the opportunity to spend part of their summer this way :)

So this week, I'm going to be trying a little something extra in addition to Thankful Thursday. I'm going to attempt to go an entire day without complaining even once. I know it will be a challenge, because I know I complain lots. My friends reassure me lots and tell me I have good excuses to complain a little, but I do it much more than I want to and it's not the type of person I want to be.

Feel free to join me! I think I will make tomorrow (Friday) the day. No point in postponing a complain-free day! I think it will make me and everyone around me happier :)
