How excited was I to see this giveaway? I have totally been coveting a MN...and I love your description of the puma-collarbone. I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one!

My favourite mama-moment today? Going to get The Dude from his nap, and finding him already awake, silently playing with the shadows and sunlight on his wall. Love.

Email me at jade@littlelilybamboo.com to claim your Mommy

Necklace, and thanks for entering!

Have you ever stumbled across a product that is so fun, practical, beautiful and amazing that you HAVE to tell someone about it?
I have.
They're Mommy Necklaces, and they are made just for mamas, with every attention to detail, including:
-breakaway clasps
-high quality acrylic beads that are lab tested for safety
-gorgeous color combinations so you feel pretty, even if you happen to have a spitup stain on your shoulder!
-unbreakable cord
-Enough styles and colors to co-ordinate with any outfit!
And they are so much fun (and safe) for little ones to fiddle with!

I received my MN's in the mail yesterday, and was immediately impressed by them. They are bright and fun, and the moment I put it on my neck, I felt pretty!

While Danica nursed, it was a great distraction, and kept my collarbone from looking like I had been nursing a puma...thank YOU MN!

Also, receiving 4 compliments in an hour does wonders for the self esteem!

Here's a preview of the beauties that I bought for myself.
P.S. I spent the whole day in town looking like I just rolled out of bed....but put makeup on for these photos, at 9:30pm. I apologize to those who saw me in town :p

I am sooo in love with the colors in this one!

I am so in love with these necklaces, that I am giving away the extra one I have to a lucky blog reader!

So what will you win? The "serene" necklace is wonderfully named, because that's exactly how it makes me feel to look at it. A perfect combination of greens, pinks, and whites, I promise you'll love it and wear it with pride!

If you would like to order your own MN, you can find the entire selection HERE!

  1. A mommy moment that made my heart happy?
The one that first comes to mind happened earlier today. We were at the McDonald's play area and Abby came to me saying she was thirsty, but she'd already finished her juice. I offered to get her more, then casually suggested that maybe it was time to get her shoes on and leave. (We'd only been there an hour while everyone ate, including the baby!) Without putting up a fuss or arguing or ANYTHING, she put on her shoes and said "Good bye guys!" to all the kids she'd been playing with. And that's how my almost-three-year old behaved better than just about all the other kids at McDonald's today. A very happy mommy moment :).

  2. Bittersweet. Linden usually is soo sad when I come home from soccer, and as I rushed in the door today he smiled and kept playing. So swee that my baby was happy, but my mommy moment has sadness because we are that much closer to a day when he doesn't need me. Thanks for the blog Jade, and I am sold on the necklaces already! 3. Beautiful necklaces Jade. They look great on you! I had 2 wonderful moments today. The first was when Kyra came up to, out the blue and said very seriously "Mommy, I love you" and gave me the most wonderful hug and kiss.
The 2nd was walking hand-in-hand with Jayce at the park to go see the ducks. It was such a sweet little moment between my little man and I. Thanks for this giveaway!

  4. Hi, Jade, from a fellow Etsy mom! I'm following you! :)

This past weekend we were at my sister-in-law's family cottage. My 2 year old son, who has up till now only waded in the river, wanted to come in the lake with mommy and daddy. The only way in was from the dock so we asked him if he could jump. He leaned over, arms outstretched, and with a heart full of trust... leaped into daddy's arms! He was so brave!

  5. I'm following your blog now!
A recent mommy moment that made me smile was when my 2 1/2 year old son sat next to me while I was nursing my baby. He just snuggled up right next to me, put his arm around me and rested his head on my shoulder, and very softly rubbed his sister's head with his other hand while she was nursing. It was so incredibly sweet! I'll never forget that moment! =)

  10. i know the puma moment. today i was nursing finn at the beach... i was wearing a bikini top and tube top... so i pulled down the top, pulled the bikini to the side and nursed him... i had a blanket covering my very exposed boob... when he was done, i went to put everything away, when he grabs onto my nipple with one hand and throws the blanket off with the other... so embarrassing. i'm sure nobody saw, but i totally felt like everyone was watching... i'm sure a baby necklace would save me from further embarrassment!

so... a happy mommy moment? when our kids pray at meal times, ryder prays: "thank you god for today" kyle prayers: "thank you god for this food!" and b prays: "i love you jesus." so cute :)

  13. These necklaces are beautiful! I'm sure my guy would love them too ;-)

My sweet moment was this past Sunday. He had fallen asleep in my arms wearing an outfit my mom had bought when I was I pregnant. I just thought back to that time when I was so anxiously awaiting him. I became so overwhelmed with emotion that someone so precious would choose me, ME, to be his mommy. I don't know how I ever got so lucky.

  16. My happy heart moment happened just the other day. My two year old daughter has recently come out of three months in a body cast after undergoing hip surgery and I was off work with her during that time. I was very anxious about returning to work (like mat leave all over again!). After my first day at work, I walk in the door and she comes out of her room to see who it is, her face lights up and she says "mommy home work" and then comes in for the biggest hug and says "missed you too mommy" with her little arms wrapped around me. It was the first time she's ever said it unprompted. Made me melt all over.

  17. Hey! Maybe this will post twice but I don't think it worked the first time. Mommy moment of the day is snuggling the 3 littlest ones while my 4 older kids slept in and my sweetheart went to work. Love the dark necklace jade! Thanks for the review!! I hope I win!!

the happy mommy moments i've had lately comes when i (or matt) am about to leave the house and brook and/or marek shout "don't forget!" and come running and jumps down the stairs to the person who's leaving with hugs and kisses...so precious! and now that we have caught on we can prepare for the leap! :)

  19. My favourite moment lately was snuggling my friend's 15 month old son. He has some medical challenges, but has the sweetest and most loving spirit, and it was such a blessing to spend time with him.

  20. I woke up yesterday morning at my Mom's house and walked quietly with Zao out to the living room. Haye was playing Super Mario Brothers on the Wii and I could hear him singing and wanted to know what it was before he knew I was awake ;)

I stopped a few feet behind him to listen and I heard a song that he had made up that went something like this (not exact words but very close): "Jesus I love you, you are my best friend, you are the greatest, I love you. You are the greatest, you are the best, I love you Jesus! Nobody is better than you Jesus"

:) I should have gotten the video camera and recorded it.

  21. My mommy moment was when Ryker woke up from one of his many naps yesterday, I fed him, burped him, and then for the next 30 mins he just stared at me with an expression that was Love......his eyes wide, almost smiling. He is so precious, he melts my heart, even when he is screaming! Every moment with him is the perfect mommy moment!

  22. The most recent mommy moment that made my heart happy was watching my four year old son entertain his sister on the kitchen floor while Dad and I made dinner. It's the first time he hasn't acted like it was a chore to deal with her or been jealous and acted out because she was getting attention.

Today actually, my 4 year old son and I had a special and funny mummy moment...he always wants to do whatever his Dad does so when I go to the store I usually take my 6 year old daughter, however, today when I announced I was going...my 4 year old jumped up and said "I'm coming!" It was so special to finally have some Mummy and son time (especially since having a third child and usually always tending to him). He got to ride in one of those car carts and he got a cookie from the bakery and we had a great time, until we got home and I had a hard time backing into the garage...well, I ended up hitting my side view mirror into our neighbors fence and it popped out! I told him I couldn't back up anymore as with the mirror popping out I couldn't see and we'd have to get Daddy to see if he can fix it. When he got inside he yelled "Daddy, Daddy, we can't see you, Mummy popped the fence!" It was so cute and of course, my husband thought the damage was much worse! (He was able to pop it back on but there's a big scrape along it now - oops!)
