Tuesday Ten..Birthday Gifts I Would Love

Ok, this post is all about dreaming, so remember that as you begin reading and maybe start thinking that I'm totally materialistic (which I may or may not be!), ok? And maybe dream right along with me...:)

This coming Sunday, the 18th is my birthday (It's also Mickey Mouse's if you were wondering)! I'm celebrating along with my friend Lena, who's birthday was yesterday by dedicating this week's top 10 to the subject.

I have decided to list the top 10 birthday presents that I would love to receive if money were no object. Ooooh, this should be fun :)

Number 1: A new wardrobe and accessories. This outfit is one of many that I would love!

Number Two: This living room and the rest of the house that I can only imagine is attached to it!

Number Three: This sign from Barn Owl Primitives...or any of the other beautiful signs in her shop. Bonus: They aren't even THAT expensive, so someone could buy me one if they liked :)

Number Four: A trip to Australia to visit my sister...either one long trip with my whole family, or twice yearly trips by myself would be fine :) I just miss her so much and wish we could hang out more often!

Number Five: a $1000 (or more) gift card to amazon.com so I can create a library of books that I've been wanting to read!

Number Six: One trip with each of my best girl friends. On my bucket list of fun girl trips would be: Los Angeles, NewYork, or an all inclusive resort somewhere. As for the friends I would take....you know who you are ;)

Number Seven: A hot tub. I was reading a book once...I believe it was "Men are like waffles, Women are like spaghetti". In the book, the authors interviewed many couples who had been married for a long time and asked them if they had any secrets to making their marriage last. One "secret" that was way up on the list surprisingly, was investing in a hot tub. The couples said it gave them a place to relax and chat and the end of a long day, and helped them connect as husband and wife.
So you see...I have practical reasons for wanting one :)

Number Eight: These shoes.

Number nine: An all expenses paid trip to Disneyland with all of our girls :) Seeing the excitement on their faces would be the best present ever!

Number ten:  Photos and canvases of all types from Eye For Detail photos. It's my uncle and aunt's business, and the photos he has taken of our girls are outstanding. I would love to have these works of art all over our walls...with some amazing large pieces for the feature wall in our new house! The photo of me kissing Danica in the "about me" section for this blog was taken by him :)

I do hope to acquire some of these things one day, but as of right now I am very grateful and content with the things I have done in my first 29 years of life. I may not travel the world, but I have my world lit up every day by the smiles of 4 little girls. I have a husband that loves me, is a wonderful father, and works so hard to provide the things we need...and treats me to many pretty things as well :)
I may not have a hot tub, but I have hot tea and a bath tub for the times I need it most :)

It's fun to dream, and to maybe start planning towards one or two of these things as a future goal.

To anyone who shares a birthday with me...or has one in November (the best month for birthdays!), I hope you have a very happy birthday this year!

    1. Thanks Marianne! I actually went to Australia to visit her in March of this year, and it was awesome! We were so close growing up that it's hard to be apart now!
