Thankful Thursday

It's that time of the week again! And I have to confess, I don't really feel like thinking back over my week for 10 things I'm thankful about. I haven't had a terrible week or anything, but I did have a few "fail" moments today and am a little bit discouraged. Hopefully this will help though, right?

This week I am thankful:

1. Well, let's start with 10 minutes ago. I opened the dishwasher to an awesome surprise...it was empty, and I could just load the supper dishes right in :) Mind you, I am the one that emptied it earlier today, but it was still nicer than finding out I had to do both chores tonight. If that didn't make any sense at all, I'm sorry...but today, that's the way the cookie crumbles!

2. For my friend Lindsay, who also doesn't like taking her children out for halloween in the snow. Instead, we bought the kids a couple boxes of GOOD candy to share, ate pizza and drank coffee while the girls did makeovers on each other! It was so refreshing!

3. That my sister cooked dinner tonight so I could lay down and try to get rid of the headache that was coming on fast.

4. That we found the other kitty. It's kind of a long story, but we got a wild kitten, he ran away, and yesterday I managed to catch him. Addison was overjoyed! The poor little kitty needs lots of love though...he got pretty skinny during his rebellion.

5. My hard working husband. I know I say it almost every week, but seriously, my man takes such good care of us!

6. That our house is almost ready for paint!

7. That Teresa and I finally got to have a conversation on the phone that lasted longer than 2 minutes. It wasn't MUCH longer than that, but I cherish any time I get to spend chatting with her. On another note, why can't Abbotsford and Dawson Creek just move closer together? And maybe bring Vernon along? Yeah, that would be great :)

8. That Myka and Danica are actually starting to be a real help with some chores! They do little things, but I am just so grateful. Today it was adorable watching them do laundry. They emptied the dryer into a basket, then moved the clothes from the washer to the dryer, and Myka even jumped up to hit the button that turns the dryer on! It doesn't feel like I'm enforcing child labour when they have smiles on their faces.

9. That my friend Cindy came over for the day on Monday. It was the best day...the kids stayed occupied and played nicely, and we drank our body weight in coffee and visited. **side note, if you EVER have the thought "I wonder if Jade would like a visitor and if I should go over?" The answer is YES. always. I love company, and don't get near as much of it living out here as I would like :) So now you know.

10. That it's November, and that means 2 things: 1. Christmas is next month, and 2. My birthday is in 17 days!
