Now, I don't know if all of these points qualify as "geeky", but whatever. They are all me.
1. My favourite show is Chuck...which is about a geek (he prefers the term "nerd") who accidentally joins the CIA. It's the best show on the planet, and the only one that I've ever loved enough to buy "swag" from. In fact, my Chuck iPhone case should be arriving any day now :) I wonder if Teresa regrets introducing me to the show?
My new iPhone case :)

2. I would almost rather watch a documentary than an actual movie
3. Unless it's anything to do with any of the avengers. I will watch any of those movies over and over again :)
4. My husband is awesome with computers, but there are some things that he asks me to do because I know more about it than him. Although there are still things he knows more about than I do when it comes to computers...clearly I have more to learn!
5. Although I haven't played in years, I am a piano player. Not cool, modern music either....I spent 12 years learning the classics. I can't wait to start playing again!
6. I don't want to hire a housekeeper ever because I actually enjoy doing the work that I would hire them to do...washing counters, floors, things like that. I even like sweeping. It's the folding and putting away of the laundry and doing the dishes that I would hire one for!!
7. One of the hardest things I have to do is control my compulsive need to correct everyone's grammar on the internet. Maybe I should start doing it on fb....then I'll know who my "real" friends are and who will delete me the second I correct them :)
8. On the grammar note, I never use "text language". It makes me grit my teeth in frustration!
9. I pine over Firefly and am still really sad that there was only one season. If they ever continued it, I would be a happy lady!
10. Sometimes when I get something accomplished, even if it's small (like putting away laundry or getting all the kids in bed before 7:45), I give myself a mental high five....and sometimes break out in a happy dance.
***Geek FAIL: I've never seen even one Star Wars movie. Not even one. Maybe I should get on that!***

you know more about computers than your savy husband but you've NEVER SEEN STAR WARS!? you need to fix that. asap. more points if you watch them all in a row :)
ReplyDeleteI also die every time someone confuses "who" & "whom" or "were" & "where." Sadly, most of these mistakes can be found directly on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm a pathetic excuse for an English major.
But ask me about Milton!
