Merry Christmas everyone! I love this time of year and am really enjoying myself this
year.
Every year, we go to either Daniel's or my parents' house for Christmas. While we really
enjoy it, this year, we decided to change things, and just stay home for a change. So far,
I'm enjoying it so much! It's so peaceful and relaxed, and wonderful to be together just
as our family. And we have New Years with Daniel's family to look forward to! Yay!
This week I'm thankful for:
1. A quiet Christmas season at home with my husband, girls, and sister :)
2. The fact that the Christmas presents under the tree have remained relatively
unharmed by the 11 month old.
3. The fact that we got my sister's keys back to her today. It's a long story, but it turned
out well :)
4. Sugar Cookies
5. The fresh snow we received this week!
6. Christmas cards from friends and family :)
7. The full day of shopping and Starbucks drinking that I got with my sister on Monday
8. That Danica has become a "daddy's girl"...she's incredibly cute when she crawls down
the hall calling "dada dada!" looking for him.
9. Christmas flower bouquets!
10. The peace I feel lately...there is something about spending a quiet Christmas at
home with the people closest to me that is so incredibly peaceful...and simple!
11. Lemi Shine. What is that, you ask? Well, it's a powder recommended to me by a
friend for removing the white film from my dishes washed in the dishwasher. I have
silver pots and clear glasses again!
12. A husband that has been so incredibly helpful this week.
13. Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. All I need is the motivation to turn on the DVD, and
she does the rest! If I keep it up, I have no excuses not to lose the rest of the baby
weight!
14. Our new bed :)
15. The time we get to spend with all four girls over Christmas break...although Addison
does get bored incredibly quickly without school to keep her busy!
16. That I finished shopping for Daniel this year...with confidence! I even found more
than one thing I think he'll like. I'm usually so nervous and lost shopping for that man.
17. Christmas is 3 days away!
18. Setting up the Nativity scene in our window with the girls :)
19. Visiting with neighbours over a Christmas coffee!
20. My best friend, Jesus, for coming as a baby at Christmas time. It never ceases to
amaze me when I stop and think about it.
