Dear Danica

Six weeks ago today, I met you for the first time. In that moment, I fell in love. Your cheeks were the first thing I noticed about you, and they are still my favorite feature of yours. So super cute and chubby! You were beautiful. I asked the nurse to leave you with me for a few minutes after your birth, and she did. You laid on my chest as I stared in wonder at the little person I had just brought into the world. Your dad was right there too, stroking your little back and saying hi to his fourth little princess for the first time.

In my last month of pregnancy, I will admit, I was a little nervous about doing "the newborn thing" again. Now, six weeks later, I have thoroughly enjoyed every precious moment of your life. You have added so much love to our home, and you are a wonderful snuggler :) For your first week, your grandparents took the older three to their house for a week, so your dad and I had an entire week to just spend time with you. You were barely put down all week!

Your sisters love you too. Addison and Tegan are amazing with you, and often they will hold you while I make dinner, or bounce your seat and sing to you when you are fussy.

I'm pretty sure Myka thinks you are one of her baby dolls, but a whole lot more fun! She's always trying to put the soother in your mouth, she covers you with a blanket at every opportunity, and she puts toys in your lap so you won't get bored. And when I'm nursing you, she climbs into my lap, pokes my chest and says, "juice?" She loves you :)

I thank Jesus every day for bringing you into our lives. We are so excited to spend our lives with you :)
