In theory, it sounded great. It looked great in the pictures...and I figured that it would be quite simple.
I apologize if anyone thought they would be "inspired" by my cake ball cake. I hang my head in shame at this total fail LOL.
However, it tasted like heaven...and that's got to count for something, right?
lol!! how funny! at least you tried and at least it didn't go to waste :)
ReplyDeleteOh, I think it's cute! My cakes always turn out far less pretty than I had planned - but always yummy!
ReplyDeleteFunny, that's probably what mine would look like too.
ReplyDeletelol! That's ok! It looks like they may have used enforcements on their cake. Maybe toothpicks?
ReplyDeleteand a styrofoam cone???
ReplyDeleteI think they have some secrets they don't want you and me to know about when assembling theirs. Oh well, at least it tasted good.
ReplyDeleteLove it! LOL. At least you tried, and best of all, it tasted good anyway! I'm sure no one complained as they scarfed it down. I love a good cake wreck! :)
ReplyDeleteHAHA, best cake ever! I love that you posted this. Makes us feel like less of a failure when ours turn out the exact same!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I have to say, I didn't try too hard to "form" it...I really didn't think that making a pyramid out of them would turn out THAT bad! But whatev....it was good for a laugh!

I think it looks great - much better than I would have managed :)
ReplyDeleteYour cake looks like it was fun to eat and it looks pretty good to me! I stopped by from EBT to follow you and I'm glad I did.
ReplyDeleteI love this post because I have made the same fail with cake balls. I never seem to get them nice and smooth! Like you said, they were delicious, and I think that counts for way more!
ReplyDeleteTabitha
