Just looking at this is making me tear up a bit, yikes! I wonder what our new princess will look like? Last night Myka asked that question, followed by, "do you think she'll be a twin like me?"
"do you mean do I think she will look like your twin?"
"Yeah" she said, "do you think she'll have curly hair like me, and brown eyes?"
The pregnancy has been going well lately. Morning sickness keeps trying to sneak back, but it's nothing compared to the first two trimesters, so I really have nothing to complain about! Other than that, there is just the usual discomforts that come along with pregnancy, such as feeling like a mammoth...especially when I try to get out of bed. I'm also super tired after about noon. The mornings are ok, and I tend to get lots done then because I know that by noon I'll be ready for a nap...and then I don't really recover after that!
Also, I'm pretty sure she's trying to escape out my side. The girls love watching and feeling her move around my tummy! This girl packs a punch behind her wiggling!
As of today I'm 35 weeks along :)
I've done what I assume is normal for most moms of five, and left almost every baby preparation for the last minute. Near the end of last week I had a tiny anxious wreck moment over that fact...I don't think I was too bad, but Daniel might tell you differently. Because Danica is three and a half, and we were almost sure we were done after having her, I had gotten rid of almost all my baby things. Thankfully most of my baby clothes were just at Angela's house, so it was just a matter of getting them back. Last week Daniel's Aunt and Uncle made the trip south, so they brought them back for me.
I must have been needing some peace of mind, because between noon on the day I got them and bedtime that night I had washed, sorted and folded the clothes, and stacked them in the baby's drawers. With Myka's invaluable help I also had washed and reconstructed the carseat!
I feel much better now :) We just have a few more things to do in the next few weeks, but I'm not nearly as anxious about it!
We are keeping busy for the next month, so hopefully these last few uncomfortable weeks will pass quickly. The girls are in swimming lessons twice a week until June, which I absolutely love. It keeps a couple evenings busy, but we all love the water so much. The baby pool in Dawson is one of my favourite places right now...it's the perfect temperature to relax, and the girls love playing in it!
They've also been spending lots more time outside. Yesterday Addison and Tegan discovered that the tadpoles are starting to come out. The bright side is that they can spend a LONG time outside being active and getting fresh air. The downside is that my entryway gets covered in mud and water soaked clothing...sometimes more than once a day. "sigh" oh well :)
Myka and Danica have just been their usual goofy selves. Myka is really into singing lately, and she's really good at making up her own songs. They are usually some sort of mix between a worship song and a song from a Barbie movie :p
Speaking of the kids, they are all needing some sort of attention right now, so I should go take care of that!
Have a great Sunday, friends!!
congrats!!!!
