It's My Favourite.

Autumn, that is. As I start to write this, I keep thinking of those commercials that air every August. You know, the one with the parents riding the carts down the aisles of Staples, buying back to school supplies and singing "It's the most wonderful time of the yeeeaaar!"

Although I do get excited when Addison and Tegan head back to school for the year (It's a great cure for the "I'm bored!!!!" the end of summer brings), it's a very small factor as to why Autumn is my favourite time of year. 

There is something I love about each season...I think that's why I love living here so much; I get to experience all of them (although God could cut a couple months off of winter without hurting my feelings!). 

BUT,

There is something special about Autumn. 

Every day this week I have walked with my girls down our dirt road, and every day we have been treated to warm sunshine and crisp blue sky as we walk. Every day, there are a few more leaves to crunch under our feet, and every day the trees are more spectacular shades of gold. 

My FB friends will have already seen these photos, but I'm posting them here too for my own "memory purposes".

This was one of those perfectly magical days I mentioned above. The sky and trees were gorgeous! I quickly took advantage of the opportunity and asked the girls to hang out in a tree for me :)

Unfortunately, Tegan isn't in them because she was at Grandma and Grandpa's house for the week. I'm hoping to get some of her tomorrow, but they might look slightly different. The tree is almost completely bare already!
