Thankful Thursday

Merry Christmas! There is something so special about this time of year...a sense of peace, a feeling of awe. As we move into a new year, I love the feeling that the whole world is starting fresh.
I'm excited to spend Christmas at home this year, with just Daniel and the girls, and our droopy yet cheery Christmas tree. I also get to spend time at my mom's, which is awesome because we haven't done it in a couple of years, and I really miss it!

This week I am thankful for:

1. Beautiful, pure snow

2. Myka saying, "I understand" when you ask or tell her something....that girl is growing up!

3. That Christmas is in less than a week! I can't wait to see the joy on the girls' faces :)

4. A few days ago the girls and I wrapped Daniel's presents together. I stopped for a moment while we were doing it and just took it all in....Addison and Tegan wrapping like pros, everyone being helpful and happy. I just love when moments like that happen :)

5. Lately when Danica wants to cuddle she raises her arms and says, "hug you"? I love cuddling her so much!

6. Two nights ago when Daniel was leaving for work, Danica started to cry as he opened the door. He melted right there, closed the door, took off his boots and carried her into the house to cuddle for 5 more minutes before he left. I am so SO thankful to be married to such an amazing man. He is such a great dad :)

7. We are done our Christmas shopping, and there is only one toy in the entire bunch of presents. I'm thankful that we stuck to that :)

8. Hot apple cider, hot chocolate, and popcorn. They have all become staples in our house on the cold winter nights.

9. That my mom is coming to watch the girls' Christmas play at the school tonight. They are so excited to see her and Dante, and even more excited that they get to go back with her for a sleepover!

10. Games nights with friends :)

From our family to yours, have a very Merry Christmas!
