Addison-ism for the Day!

Today's Addison-ism:
Grandpa Ron came to visit, and was chatting with Addison.
Grandpa: Are you excited about your baby sister?
Addison: Yes!
Grandpa: How big is she now?
Addison: Well, mommy's uterus is the size of a soccer ball!

Daisy

You're a little piece of heaven

You're a golden ray of light

And I wish I could protect you
From the worries of this life

But if there's one thing I could tell you
It's no matter what you do
Hold to Jesus

He's holding on to you

The world will try to tell you

That might is more than right

That beauty's on the outside

And being good's a losing fight

But remember what I've told you

Because the world will make you choose

Hold to Jesus

He's holding on to you

Hold on to Jesus

Cling to His love

Rest deep in His mercy

Whenever things get rough

Don't lose sight of His goodness

And don't ever doubt this truth

That when you hold on to Jesus

He's holding on to you

Hear me dear Jesus

Rock this little one to sleep

Keep her close when she's scared

And give her grace when she is weak

I know she'll stumble

But I know she'll make it through

If you hold to her just like
You said You'd do

Hold her Jesus

And she'll hold on tight to You

Our Wednesday...

There was nothing super special about today, but it was still special because of my girls. Although as I write this, Tegan is laying in bed shouting "mommy" over and over and over...but I'm focusing on the good things :)
Daniel had to leave for work before the girls woke up, but when they did, they just came and crawled into bed with me to cuddle...I love that!
We were going swimming, so I said that maybe we should get up and have breakfast so we weren't late. I asked what they wanted. Addison said "tuna sandwich" ???? huh. I've never heard that one before, but I just happened to have some tuna prepared in the fridge, so I thought "why not?"
Tegan was in "puppy mode" (lately, about 90% of the time, she's either a puppy or a baby). Today it was puppy, and she crawled over to the kitty dish, bent down with her face, and started munching!! EWWWW! "No, no Tegan, that's for kittys....mommy will get you some puppy food." So I poured her a bowl of honey nut cheerios. She thought it was a great idea and polished it off while her sister was eating tuna with pickles at 8:30 am.
Before they got dressed they wanted me to read their brand new book that Teresa sent them yesterday (Thanks Tree and Brooklyn and Maryk!!). The book is about a boy whos mom embarasses him in the mall by letting his aunt kiss him with lipstick on...among other things.
They loved it, and after I was done the book, I asked Addison if I could kiss her in the mall when she was a teenager. She thought for a minute, then said, "yes, but not with lipstick!"
I'm just recording that for future reference, by the way...hehehehehehe Maybe I should have got her to sign something :)
So then we had to leave a little earlier than swimming started because of what happened last time we were at the pool.
Let's just say Tegan's bathing suit is well worn, and last time we were there, some moms that I didn't know were snickering at the see-throughedness of her suit (Yup, I just made it up, but it sounds like a good word to me!). It was a little embarassing...for me. She didn't notice thankfully, and probably could have cared less :) But I vowed not to take her swimming again until she got a new bathing suit. That day was today. At 9 in the morning, at walmart. I found a nice, modest one piece for 8 bucks, picked a nice purple color (I sure didn't want to risk the yellow! LOL) and bought it. It is really nice, and she loves it, but it is about thiiiiiis close to being thong-ish in the back. *sigh*. Oh well.
At dinner, Addison kept interrupting Daniel and I after she had been excused from the table. We asked her to stop interrupting, and this is what we got, "well, here's the point. I would like you to talk to me." So we said, "we would be more than happy to talk to you if you come back to the table and joing the conversation." and SHE said, "yeah, I need to come sit down and have a conversation to calm me down." Oh the logic! I just love her...she adds so much to each day :)
Between her quips, and Tegan being such a good little puppy, I was in such a fun mood, that I wore purple socks :)

Kid number 2

Aaaah yes, she's a ham :) The top pic is where I found her a few days ago! Dora, our cat has started sleeping there lately cause it's cozy, so I guess Tegan decided to see what the fuss was about!
Maybe she felt like she needed a rest, because lately she's sure that she also has a baby in her belly! The other day we were making cookies, and all of the sudden she stopped and lifted her shirt and started moaning. So I asked if she was okay! And she said, "ooooh, the baby...kicking!"
and made a big, dramatic scene out of it! It was awesome
Then, about a week later, she had an eyelash stuck in her eye, and I couldn't get it out, so I took her to the doctor. She jumped right up on the table, laid down and lifted her shirt. When the doctor came in, she said, "check the baby?" So the doctor did..and Tegan was happy! So happy, that she let the doctor get the eyelash out, which I hadn't been able to do! LOL
I realized the other day just how much Tegan has seen me get sick over the last few months. I was brushing my teeth, and she was watching intently...a few times saying, "are you going to be sick, mom?"
Un-baby related, we were eating dinner the other night, and I said, "Tegan, please finish your stew." She pushed it back and said, "no, I can't, sorry mom". It was sooo hard not to laugh!!

Sisterly Love!

These two are going to make the best big sisters soon! They are sure practicing up, using their babies, and our friends' real babies!!
I feel kind of bad though, because they ask almost every day if they can feel the baby kick, and I want to let them, but Big Fat Panda just seems to be a little lazy! No one can feel him/her on the outside yet...I can barely feel the kicks on the inside! I keep promising a week or two, but now I'm 21 and a half weeks, and still nothing! They're going to stop believing me soon! LOL
At least they talk to it though...LOL They always come up and put their hands on my belly and say, "kick baby, kick!!" Aaaah, one day soon, it will listen!
I've scheduled a 3d ultrasound for March 25th....and they are super excited for that because we get a video of it for them to watch any time! And also, then they'll find out if they are getting a sister or a brother! Yay!

Chatterbox

I know I have the conversations with Addison blog, but I seem to have enough trouble keeping up this one lately, so I'm posting this here! LOL
Addison is such a wonderful addition to each day lately...she comes up with the craziest things!!
Some days though, I have to remind myself of that! LOL like this past weekend, when the girls and I took a road trip to Prince George...
They were both soooo well behaved, but my goodness! She never stops asking questions!
Some of the highlights were:
-What is a volcano?
-Why did God make volcanos?
-Is that mountain a volcano?
-Where is the waterfall?
-How much longer till the waterfall? (multiply that question by about 34!!)
-Why do boys stand up to pee, and we can't?
-Does Satan use his lake of fire to hurt people?
There were many many many more....I'm amazed at how deep our talks about God get! I didn't think that would happen for at least another year or two! I stop every few sentences to ask her if my answers are still making sense to her. When they don't anymore, she turns her head, and says, "I'm done talking about this now."
While we were at Amy's I did a trade show for the Saturday, so Amy watched the girls for me!! yay! I called to see how they were doing, and Amy said, "Great! Addison let me brush her hair, then I put a clip in and said, "what do you think Addison?" and Addison said, "well, you're not very good at that, maybe I should do it myself."" So she put it in how SHE wanted it!!
What a fun weekend, but now, my brain is sore! LOL
