Packin' Up and Movin' on!

After almost one full year of renting our little house, we have decided to buy our own place! Renting has been great. We've loved living near the Hanna's. They have been awesome landlords, neighbors and friends. Our girls will miss having friends so close all the time, and I'll miss my amazing babysitters! LOL

It's also allowed us to get a little bit settled after the crazy year we've had. Daniel is quite settled into his new job and is enjoying it, and I have developed an awesome group of friends!

But now, it's time to move on, and to start putting our money towards our own place!

It's a quarter section of land about 15 minutes from town towards Tumbler Ridge. It's got a house on it that's a little run down, but with some work, I think could be pretty cute. The yard too! It's a cute little fenced in yard with a greenhouse and everything :)

In the next couple weeks, we have alot to do...the big things being taking down wall paper and painting the house. I'd like to get this done before we move in, so we'll have a really busy couple of weeks here! But, I have high hopes, and am counting on some hard work for a few years, but I think it will pay off :)

So with that, the invitation to come out and paint or weedwack is always open! LOL Ok, you don't have to work, but feel free to come out and visit!

Smooth Away...As Seen On TV!

Addison is growing up. In the last couple weeks, she is soooo over Treehouse when she watches tv. Now she wants to watch the Bugs Bunny show all the time, so she gets to see commercials. It's sure a good thing she doesn't have money, because she gets really sucked in by them! LOL

Today, she came up to me and said, "mom, you should get Bumpits...they make you go from flat to fabulous!"

Then later she saw the commercial for Smooth Away. Here's our conversation:

"Mom, you should get smooth away, and you'll never have to shave again! You'll never go "ow ow ow!" when you shave because these don't hurt at all!

"That's nice Addison"

"Yeah, even daddy can use them!"

"Can he use them on his face?"

"Well, they have smaller smoothaway pads for his upper lip, and big ones for larger areas, like your arms"

After that, I couldn't really say anything else, cause I was laughing so much. Ooooh Addison, you are so much fun!

Lazy Summero

The title refers to my blogging, NOT us! LOL Adding an extra princess to our home has definitely kept us from being lazy. I can't believe how fast the summer has slipped by, especially since Myka was born! Here are some highlights :)

At about 4 weeks, Myka discovered that she loves the playmat! well, she loved it...lately she's been a tad cranky and hasn't enjoyed it quite as much. Maybe she's having her 6 week growth spurt?

A couple weekends ago the fall fair was here. The girls have been looking forward to it for months! They saw an episode of Dora awhile ago with a ferris wheel in it, and ever since, Addison has been obsessed! Here they are in the bouncy castle...

and the merry go round. I always love merry go round pictures!

and after months of waiting, she finally got her ferris wheel ride! She is technically too short, but they let her go on with her daddy! She loved it. I'll do my best to quote what she thought of it. "It was really fun mom! when you're going down it feels weird in your throat, like you're swallowing a snake or something!" Now she's counting down the days till next year :)

Hopefully I'll start having the time to post more soon...as we get more and more into our new "family of five" schedule!

Ok, so I've become a little bit addicted lately. I admit it :) But there is just SO much cute stuff, I can't help it! I buy very little of the things that I love, but as my etsy shop grows, my etsy shopping habits probably will too! LOL
